Samsung Tab: Tips if your tablet is not charging

If your Samsung tablet is not charging or your charger isn’t working, there are several things that you can try to resolve your issue. The most common reasons for a Samsung tablet not charging are:

  • Faulty cable, charging block, charger cable, or adapter
  • Dirt or debris in the charging port
  • Third party apps interrupting the charging process
  • Software update is required

If you have determined that your charging cable or plug is not working or needs replacing

However, before you do, try the below:

  • Use a different lead and plug. One that you know works.
  • Try charging using a laptop/computer instead of a wall mains socket
  • Look inside the charging port to see if there is any debris therefore the charging pins are not making contact. Only blow or suck any debris out. Do not use any objects
  • Wiggle the lead a little. The charging port may be slightly loose due to wear and tear
  • Try charging the device whilst it is off (power down)
